.-Job description**Role Purpose**- Leading the delivery of audits, some major and/or highly complex, which provide internal customers and stakeholders with critical assessments of the HSBC governance, risk and internal control frameworks.- Ensuring that audit assignments are completed in a timely and efficient manner with due respect to the standards established by Global Internal Audit (GIA), industry best practices and the relevant risk and regulatory environment.- Providing specialist professional advice on audit findings and recommendations, thus ensuring that they are both fully understood and properly implemented by management.- Being responsible for collecting and interpreting data and analyzing results to report them back to the audit team members who may require data analytics when conducting audits.
**Main activities**:- Review of strategies, business plans and key performance indicators- Preparation and use of Audit Risk Assessment to document assess and evaluate risks- Regular, minute meetings with internal and external stakeholders.- Ensure that the scope, approach and methodology of each audit are fully reflective of the importance of HSBC's.- Create audit work papers- Execute audits in accordance with GIA Audit Instruction Manual (AIM)- Fully understand the impact of their audit findings- Clearly communicate issues and associated risks and identify the root cause and the possible strategic implicationsRequirements**Certifications, Qualifications & Experience**- Minimum of five years' experience in audit, or financial risk or equivalent.
Specifically, outstanding experience in businesses particularly commercial banking, global banking and global markets, retail business (wealth, insurance, asset management) and data analytics (i.E.
R, SAS, python, SQL).- Foundation knowledge of the Company or financial services industry, and understanding of business, risks and controls as well as the regulatory framework they operate in.- Written and verbal communication skills, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, critical thinking and interpersonal skills, proactive.- Ability to comply with tight deadlines and work under pressure.- Advanced knowledge of an Audit methodology.- Experience desirable with project management and management information activities.- Advanced English.- Qualifications in risk, business, related field or equivalent experience, professional certification (CPA, CA, or CIA).
