**AUDIT SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - SHARED SERVICE CENTER**

Individuals at this level have a minimum of two years' experience as a staff accountant and normally have passed the CPA or Chartered Accountant exam.
Senior Accountants in Audit are expected to:

- Know and understand the reason behind the firm's policies and procedures
- Possess technical knowledge sufficient to supervise ("coach") staff accountants
- Begin acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty
- Exhibit (or develop) skills and characteristics delineated in the Firm's evaluation forms
- Begin to develop a command of GAAP, OCBOA, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
- Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
- Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements/tasks
- Interact with core engagement teams and all low-levels of client personnel in an intelligent and professional manner

**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Performs diversified accounting and auditing assignments under the direction of supervisor and manager
- Participates in planning and executing client engagements/tasks
- Prepares and indexes working papers; performs various procedures established under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to verify accuracy and validity of client's financial matters
- Begins to develop a command of GAAP, other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations
- Obtains a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques
- Effectively communicates with core engagement teams to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption to client

**REQUIREMENTS**
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting with the 150 hours and must have completed all requirements to be able to sit for the CPA or Chartered Accountant exam
- Minimum of 2 years in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks as well as having in charged engagements
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Ability to work well in a team environment
