If you are excited about a role but don't meet every bullet point, we encourage you to apply and join us to create the extraordinary.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Commodity Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.Reporting to the Global Commodity Management Director, the Automation Commodity Manager role involves being responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and management of regional strategies and sourcing activities to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality, and delivery performance. Working closely with the Global Automation team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager Indirect – Automation will communicate and implement strategies, contracts, and pricing to the Americas region with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers.What a typical day looks like:Establish and manage long term strategic relationships with core suppliers, drive engagement with Flex sites and business units.Guide the commercial selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet Automation Integrations and Components costs and performance goals.Design and deploy programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, communicating regularly with other departments to ensure smooth operations as well as timely manufacturing ramp on new programs.Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology roadmaps and identify supply/demand challenges. Develop, implement, and communicate strategical and tactical commodity plans internally and to Flex customers as appropriate.Provide access to leading technology, product roadmaps, technology strategies and industry trends.Provide point of escalation for Commodity issues as appropriate.Participate in the review of supplier contracts, outlining requirements and considerations.Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and material control systems to optimize supply chain operations, adhering to our compliance standards
