What is the opportunity?
Our software scales to support millions of devices across multiple device platforms. We have a high bar for quality, performance, scale, availability and supportability – our customers are counting on us to keep their business running. We support complex use cases that span across Omnissa and services/capabilities provided by OS vendors. We integrate with customers' enterprise infrastructure to provide a seamless management experience.
You will be part of a team that is solely focused on ensuring we meet the high-quality standards that our product demands. This team will be responsible for building tools and services that enable us to automate the complex use cases that we support. Responsibilities for this team will also include ensuring that the product being built is testable including designing and refactoring core platform components to ensure so. Team members are expected to participate actively in product design discussions and work closely with functional engineering teams to ensure that the product is built in parallel with the integrations, services and tooling required to effectively test it in an automated fashion.
You will be owning engineering initiatives and champion a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions, including building automated regression suites and test harnesses that adhere to organizational standards.
Develop inclusive test plans and test cases from functional and design specifications; execute these cases and report the results.
Work closely with development teams to deliver business functionality that aligns with quality requirements and acceptance criteria.
Review and approve the work of project team members, ensuring testing activities remain on schedule.
Build efficient testing solutions for web, services/APIs, and databases; actively participate in their functional, system, and regression testing.
Participate in project scoping, functional reviews, and technical reviews; ensure alignment with automation/performance strategies during architecture/design reviews.
What will you bring to Omnissa?
5+ years of relevant experience in software testing across all layers (API, DB, and UI), including test planning and execution.
Knowledge of Python and proficiency in creating, maintaining, and executing automation tests using Selenium.
Excellent understanding of QA and testing methodologies and best practices.
Exposure to distributed source control systems, preferably Git.
Working knowledge of microservices and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience in developing test frameworks, libraries, and tools is a plus.
Experience and knowledge of all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Ability to design and automate systemic tests (e.g., customer workflows, disruption, stress, and scale) that operate in containerized environments.
Ability to interact, collaborate, and succeed in a highly productive Agile development environment.
Ability to create, deploy, and maintain automated system tests to replicate real-world scenarios.
Highly driven with a positive attitude, team player, self-motivated, and flexible.
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies.
