Oversees installation, modification, upgrade & maintenance of prototype, lab & manufacturing equipment. Maintains vendor networks to stay updated on trends and developments in the equipment industry. Establishes programs & solutions for increasing uptime & for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the process development, process engineering & manufacturing equipment maintenance engineering organizations. Involvement may begin at any step from laboratory-scale to pilot plant to full-scale manufacturing. Coordinates design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure that equipment meets process, manufacturing & safety requirements as well as operation cost targets. Designs experiments, compiles & evaluates test data to determine appropriate limits & variables for equipment design specifications. Plan projects involving definition & selection of new concepts, equipment technology & approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes.**Knowledge and Technical Skills**:Demonstrates broad-based technical experience PLC, Mechanical Design, Industrial equipment, 5 axis Robots.Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and innovative ways.Generally regarded as an expert in the specific field of the assignment.Proficient in modeling the business influences of process/ equipment qualification and development (e.G. manufacturing cost, product value, NPV).Technical leader within an assignment or project area.Root Cause Analysis and problem solving tools.**Complexity**:Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth evaluation of secondary factors.Exercises excellent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria.Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise.Demonstrates technical leadership guiding others in problem isolation and resolution.Elevates serious technical roadblocks, along with recommended technical solutions, to management for consideration
