Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety._- _ Prepare RFQ's and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing._- _ Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them. Able to quickly cost analyze and work up the financial justification for automating_- _ Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers._- _ Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects._- _ Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and _testing/qualification._- _ Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met._- _ Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities._- _ Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow._- _ Implement cost effective automation solution._- _ Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline._- _ Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation.
