- Automation Technical Project Manager Sr._
- located in Guadalajara, North Campus._
What a typical day looks like:
- _ Take leadership during the entire life cycle of automation projects, from concept to feasibility and from fabrication and test to production._
- _ Define, develop and deploy automation into Flex sites. Design the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency and safety._
- _ Prepare RFQ's and solicit quotations from automation suppliers. Evaluate supplier quotations to determine the best combination of technical solution, cost and timing._
- _ Develop budget and schedule for projects and manage projects to stay within them. Able to quickly cost analyze and work up the financial justification for automating_
- _ Conduct equipment design reviews and provide design guidance to suppliers._
- _ Manage automation suppliers through all phases of projects._
- _ Provide on-site support during machine build, debug and _testing/qualification._
- _ Supervise installation and testing to verify requirements and specifications are met._
- _ Draft qualification protocols and support equipment qualification activities._
- _ Develop manufacturing solutions with the best combination of manual, semi-automation and/or full automation. Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow._
- _ Implement cost effective automation solution._
- _ Support new product development automation needs, facilitate assembly processes through the implementation of assembly cells and automated equipment at NPI stage and ensure meeting development timeline._
- _ Interface with customers and functional owners on product development issues regarding automation. Conduct _design-for-automation_ analysis and provide detailed recommendations._
- _ Participate in design reviews and provide status reports as per established schedule._
- _ Prepare and maintain documentation related to the operation of the automation equipment._
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- _ Strong engineering experience, including broad based management and supervision._
- _ Advanced English._
- _ PMI Certification._
- _ Previous experience working in the manufacture, electronics or/and telecommunications industry._
- _ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience._
- _ NPI previous experience._
- _ Experience in staff coordination_
- _ Strong knowledge on implementing automation strategies._
- _ Responsible for standardizing process improvements_
- _ Good communication and excellent interpersonal skills._
- _ Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites._
- _ Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations._
- _ Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions._
- _ Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables._
- _ Demonstrates advanced experience and skills associated with performing assigned functions._
