As part of NXP Automotive Processing's group, the Applications Engineers (AE) represent the primary technical interface between our R&D organization and our Field Applications and Sales engineering teams directly working with customers worldwide. This technical role interacts with many global groups within NXP. This requires the development of a technical skillset in a customer-facing environment. Work as part of a team distributed globally and together with local teams. This position involves working on a daily basis in collaboration with the R&D, field application engineers, and marketing teams to defend and understand the customers' needs.
Specific Knowledge/Skills Bachelor's or master's degree in Electronic Engineering or similar is required. Embedded software application development experience (>= 4 years). Embedded C language programming knowledge is required. An advanced understanding of Microcontrollers and Microprocessors is required. Scope of Responsibilities Lead the execution from the application's perspective for the new product development process by planning, coordinating, and executing the different deliverables of this role. Perform validation of key IP blocks to ensure that the defined functionality is properly met and documentation is properly created. Develop demo applications and reference designs to show the advantages of NXP products. Provide feedback to the Marketing, Systems, and Design teams with valuable improvement proposals related to the product features and architecture. Provide highly technical support to customers, Field Applications Engineers, Sales, and Marketing around the world designing with NXP Products. Collaborate and participate in: Development/revision of documentation Testing software versions, stacks, and available operating systems Creating and providing training (in English and Spanish) Testing silicon modules and software drivers What can you expect: This is a full-time position with a permanent contract.
