The DRE is responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and release of powertrain systems. Other responsibilities will include the development and validation of assigned components and communicating technical product status and competitor benchmarking to management. The individual will be responsible for coordinating the packaging with all adjacent departments. They will also work with virtual validation groups to ensure that the CAE scorecard is met as well as manufacturing feasibility. Responsibilities include maintaining and updating DVP&R and DFMEA, as well as supporting and managing suppliers for quality actions and VO activities. The engineer needs to support meetings throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams, and PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives, and system requirements.This position is to work permanently remotely with availability to travel occasionally; all candidates must reside and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree required in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automotive, Electric, Electro-mechanical, etc).Previous experience: Preferably 3-5 years in the automotive industry as a Product Engineer or in a product development-related position.Design experience in the following components: electronic modules, support brackets, internal combustion engine, electric motor, power electronic accessories, and surrounding components from the internal combustion engine.Experience with Catia V5, NX, and Teamcenter; experience with DFMEA, DVP&R, and validation plans.Availability to travel sporadically.Advanced English (B2/C1).#J-18808-Ljbffr
