B1 Driver Manager

Fleet/Driver ManagerEssential Duties and Responsibilities: Daily communication and management of an assigned fleet of B1 drivers to ensure high on-time delivery performance and fleet profitabilityAssign loads and monitor freight movement communicating customer needs to drivers through dispatch instructionMonitor and ensure compliance with DOT and Customs regulations.Act as the driver advocate toward internal departments answering driver questions, driver concerns, and resolving issuesWork closely with other departments to meet customer, driver, and company objectives and safety initiativesPerform administrative duties and provide timely reports and information to internal departments as required.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Associate or Bachelor Degree in business or logistics related field preferred5 years of previous experience in a related field requiredProficient in bilingual (English/Spanish) verbal and written communicationPrior managerial or leadership experience preferredKnowledge of DOT regulations and hours of serviceKnowledge of US/MX border crossing procedures (Pedimentos/ DODA, ACE etc.)Excellent computer knowledge and skill, especially Microsoft Office and AS400SPECIAL SKILLS: Decision making and problem solving abilitiesStrong organizational and leadership skillsAbility to work in fast paced environmentPlanning and prioritizing of workGeneral knowledge of geography and map readingWe offer an excellent salary and benefit package that includes; Food vouchersInsurance of major medical expenses
