Our business is diversified across the major growing regions of Texas, Memphis, Georgia, California, and Arizona, with ginning and warehousing infrastructure in several locations.Position SummaryReporting to the Vice President of Finance, the Senior Accountant will use their accounting expertise to ensure accuracy of Olam Global Agri's financial statements. This position will manage monthly / year-end close, external / internal audit, and coordinate with external consultants on tax compliance and other projects.Position ResponsibilitiesResponsible for driving month-end and year-end closing for Mexico cotton business.Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers, and other records detailing and supporting business transactions in compliance with IFRS.Treasury: Initiate wire payments in USD and Mexican Pesos for payment to suppliers.Assist with the purchasing and sales review processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of recorded transactions.Review business processes for better control.Manage and coordinate reporting requirements and upload financial statements to the consolidation tool (SAP BPC). Respond to queries and requests for information.Work closely with the operations team on payments and coordinate with vendors.Maintain regular communication with the Olam Agri Mexico team to understand and comply with local business and reporting requirements.Support internal and external audit processes and requests for information.Manage and coordinate the corporate reporting requirements.Coordinate tax filings with tax consultants.Perform other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesPrior SAP experience is preferred.Advanced experience in Microsoft Office is required.Able to efficiently balance recurring activities with ongoing projects and ad hoc requests
