The basic role of a Teaching Assistant is to support the teachers in whatever area is needed whether it is in the classroom, the playground or on a camping trip with the group.**Responsibilities**The TA will:- Make sure that the pupils they are supporting are motivated, able to engage in learning and encouraged to stay on task during the lesson or activity- Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behaviour- Listen to groups read and read to pupils as a class, group or one-to-one- Liaise with the class teacher and deliver activities to pupils either as a group or one-to-one. This might include taking out a small group or an individual to work outside of the classroom- Prepare and assemble displays in the classrooms- Prepare learning resources[3]- Provide administrative support with inputting data and organising reports or files- Primary TAs will do break duties monitoring the pupils' behaviour and promoting positive behaviour- Support the emotional and social development of pupils, reporting any issues when needed to the teacher in charge of the group- Provide support outside of normal classes, such as helping during exams, covering TA absences, going on school trips and camps- Help with extra-curricular activites (3-4pm) and in Primary run a Wednesday 2-3pm activity- Provide specific support in English to individuals or small groups of children- Cover a class if the teacher is absent but the TA is not expected to plan the lesson- Support school during student drop-off and collectimes timesAs well as working alongside the pupils the TA will also:- Ensure pupils enter school safely by assisting with the traffic flow in the morning and afternoon when pupils arrive and leave school- When students and teachers are not in school they will help classroom preparation for the new academic yearWork Remotely- NoPay: $8,000.00 - $9,000.00 per monthWork Location: In personExpected Start Date: 02/09/2024
