Manufacturing company located in Apodaca requests talent for the position of Blow Molding Engineer.
**Education & Experience**:
Engineering degree preferred.
Fluent English(Read/Write)
Familiarity with blow molding/Plastic molding production processes
Blueprint evaluation and good CAD/GD&T skills
Lean Concept training (5S. Kaizen, etc.)
Understanding of electrical and mechanical workings of a variety of Blow Mold/pastic production machinery
**Functions**:
Start up and Setup equipment, develop and produce quality blow molded parts.
Provide solutions & processes that support ensuring the lines run efficiently and with high safety & quality standards.
Troubleshooting, and making modifications of blow molding equipment, tooling and machinery to improve procedures related to production.
Increase productivity, efficiency and quality of blow molding equipment, tooling and machinery.
Define SMED process for Change over standards.
Leading change for business support & lean transformation in alignment with company strategy.
Train supervisors and operator. Teaching waste (non
- value added) elimination; executes projects using all or any tools established.
Support functions, mechanical issues, set-up, quality and personnel.?
**Responsibilities**:
Identifies improvements to the manufacturing process and provides appropriate plans for such improvements.
Identifies opportunities in Safety, environmental, electrical, mechanical, production, safety, tooling and quality control areas and provides appropriate solutions.
Prepares drawings and identification of special equipment and vendors of equipment as needed.
Participates in equipment selection for projects.
Works with Suppliers of assigned new equipment for new or current projects.
Supervises installation of assigned projects
Designs and develops tools as needed.
Prepares and/or supervises preparation of tool drawings.
Investigates and corrects tool failures.
Coordinates needed spare parts with plant leadership and maintenance team
Designs and runs experiments and tests to aid in the development of improved manufacturing procedures and processes.
Coordinates activities of outside contractors as required.
Participates in product design changes.
Participates with value stream mapping, initiating and leading Kaizen events, Design of Experiments,
Lead capacity utilization studies
Ensures production jobs are running to appropriate cycle specifications for maximum yield.
Analyzes molding defects to determine root cause and initiates material, machine, process, or tooling as required.
Recommends tooling and/or machine improvement for mold repairs, processes, yields, scrap, waste, etc
Maintain tooling, machines and auxiliary equipment to identify issues and coordinate activities for ensure the proper function of the production line.
Maintains quality standards to customer specification of all parts.
Facilitates team development, working to train the team members.
