- BOM Engineer is responsible to coordinate and make sure the BOM completeness and quality in support of the Change Management Process and prototype builds (TPV/DCV).
BOM Engineer tracks the impact of Material Cost, Weight and Investment adjustments during Change Management from TSC/PSC to PA and work together with Prototype Purchasing by qualifying the Prototype BOM in order to initiate the Prototype Sourcing process in support of the Fit Prototype Process.
- THE ROLE:
- Achieve financial Tygra file and FEDEBOM alignment to start Change Control Process at TSC/PSC
- Provide FEDEBOM, Change Control Process and Change Management Form (CMF) tool training to PMT Leader, D&R and Finance
- Lead and achieve Product Direction Letter (PDL) alignment in FEDEBOM based on Team Information Bulletins (TIB)
- Drive CMF resolution, tracking and development of Cost, Weight and Investment changes in FEDEBOM including troubleshooting
- Manage Road Maps, Risks & Opportunities generation and on time disposition
- Create and maintain Cost, Weight and Investment tracking file in order to preserve change history
- Manage PAT Decks (Cost, Weight and Investment) to provide accurate and updated information
- Lead Change Control meeting.
Assure agenda content and key players' participation
- Support CNE DF and PMT meetings
- Request and validate that the Smartfile for active program is created with accurate data
- Identify the start date for Smartfile push with the program (considering Chip used parts, Super Long Lead parts, Long Lead parts and Standard Lead parts)
- Establish a cadence with the program and Purchasing team for Smartfile push
- Understand upcoming build module requirements and the impact to BOM / WIPS blanket order requirements
- Qualify parts for purchasing.
Parts that are not qualified, the Smartfile analyst should follow up and contact the responsible/owner of the part(s) so all the required information is entered in the BOM
- Update Purchasing comments with the latest Causal codes and drive resolution of all engineering issues required to progress WIPS blanket orders (both qualified and non-qualified parts)
- Monitor and drive resolution of parts in suspense through BCP + 2 weeks
- Support PPATs and PST meetings
WHAT YOU´LL NEED- Engineering degree.
- English proficiency.
- PC / 3D CAD desirable / PDM systems knowledge (Windows / CATIA V5 / Teamcenter Engineering).
- Microsoft Office management (Word, Excel and Power Point).
- Expert in Microsoft Excel desirable (macros, vb coding).
- Ability to analyze complex problems and assess possible solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills both in Spanish and English
- Ability to prioritize and plan effectively
- A commitment to keep up to date with new technology
- Excellent team working and people skills
