As a BPA Manager CoE supporting the Global BPA, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you will drive financial reporting, and analysis activities within all regions. This role will work closely with the Global BPA Director to drive business growth and establish definitive ways of working across the markets and the overall Alcon. The key responsibilities include conducting and process improvement in the month-end close, quarter close and presentations, ad-hoc reporting.
In this role, a typical day will include:
- Conduct the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&A processes for the market/franchise, including management reporting and variance analysis.
- Consolidate inputs from business partners and craft consistent story/messaging.
- Deliver Gross Margin analysis and provide operational explanation to the leadership team by franchise working closely to MTO team and Regions.
- Prepare and present Income Statement Analytics to ensure accuracy of Alcon results to the CAO and Global BPA Head in collaboration with all markets.
- Collaborate in deck preparation (IR, Global QBR, etc.), provide inputs to External Reporting, including templates, variance analysis, insights, comments, and presentation.
- Serves as data provider to management, ensuring that teams under their leadership have the correct information to make data-driven decisions.
- Assist with the maintenance and usage of reporting tools and financial models.
- Management responsibilities include coaching, performance management, career development, and resource allocation.
- Ad-hoc analysis, financial modeling, consolidation, or related duties as required or assigned
- Ensure adequate accounting, reporting, and control systems are in place to reach proper levels of forecast accuracy, to be able to identify and inform of potential risks and opportunities, and to ensure delivery of productivity targets
- Disciplined use of financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, etc.) to manage and perform analytical analysis of financial results
- Ownership and accountability of data integrity
WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related analytical discipline
- At least five (5) years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) roles
- Exceptional analytical abilities, capable of using data tools to drive decision-making and managing large pools of data in Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP & BI tools and practical experience analyzing data, program metrics, and performance
- Demonstrates complex problem resolution proficiency and the ability to identify/implement process and system enhancements.
- Proactive communication style with the ability to build/foster relationships with business partners.
- Proven leadership, analytical, influencing, and problem-solving skills combined with the ability to identify risks and impacts and possible solutions and corrective actions.
- Excellent written and verbal English skills, along with quantitative, interpersonal, and analytical skills
