The Department
For more than 30 years, CAA Brand Management has helped brands of all shapes and sizes show up in new consumer product categories, experiences and territories, through licensing, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. CAA Brand Management is a division of Creative Artists Agency (CAA). Together we represent many of the most successful global brands and professionals working in television, film, music, theatre, video games, sports, and digital content.We also provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients.
The Role
CAA Brand Management is currently seeking a Royalty Analyst to assist the commercial finance manager in the royalty reporting process.
**Responsibilities**:
- Collect royalty reports and sales projections for approximately 140 contracts.- Calculate royalties and ensure complete, accurate and timely payment, including calculating commissions earned and liability to licensor.- Analyze reports for compliance to contractual obligations.- Create and maintain client-facing financial reporting.- Maintain internal sales & royalty databases.- Process accounts receivable.- Follow up on past due accounts, manage bad debt at or below acceptable levels.- Track and account for withholding tax.- Support Client Finance managers on internal client budgeting.- Support Client Finance managers on client reporting.- Invoicing using iofacturo for the payments received from Licensees.
Qualifications- Bachelor's or Associate degree with a business background preferred, or equivalent work experience- 3-5+ years of post-university and/or professional work experience- Organized with superb attention to detail- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate well with a broad spectrum of international and domestic clients- Proficient in the English language (both written and verbal)- Accounting/AP/AR experience- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, special emphasis on Excel- Experience in the licensing industry is a plus, but not required- Royalty Accounting experience and/or familiarity with royalty software preferred, but not required- Self-motivated and able to prioritize and multi-task- Team player
Location
This role will be based out of the Mexico City office; Hybrid.
Compensation
The annual base salary for this position is in the range of $330,000 - $430,000 MXN. This position also is eligible for benefits and discretionary bonus. Ultimately, wages may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, business sector, and geographic location, among other criteria.
