Job Description Summary: What you need to know about the role: As an Internal Controls Analyst, you will be part of the Business Risk Control Lead Team for Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection. The Team's remit is to manage and execute First line Risk processes such as Risk Identification, Risk Assessment, Risk and Control Evaluation, Management and Resolution of issues and incidents, Risk & Compliance Plan output as well as Risk Reporting for products, functions and jurisdictions. This role, as part of a small but dynamic team within the BRCL, will primarily focus on Issue Management related activities.

**Your way to impact**
You, a vital player in a compact yet powerful team, will work closely with Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection First line operations Leaders as well as partnering with other Business Risk and Control Leads and stakeholders across Product, Policy, and other supporting teams. With your savvy skills and proactive attitude, you will manage various risk mitigation activities, primarily relating to Issue, Incident & Remediation Management.
**Your day to day**
Conduct Root Cause Analysis for potential issues and/or closed incidents across Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection Programs while expanding your knowledge of their processes and controls.
Collaborate with other Business Risk and Control Leads and business owners to align on ownership & remediation plans for both GFCCP and upstream issues, ensuring adequate resources are in place to manage operational impacts.
Engage with Second Line of Defense Teams as part of Issue Management & Remediation Planning.
Develop a deeper understanding of the Business Risk and Control Leads role in the Control Environment and PayPal's Risk Taxonomy.
Support other BRCL related tasks & activities associated with Management & Mitigation of Risk for Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection
**What do you need to bring**
**Communication Skills**: Strong team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to drive fruitful discussion with internal and external stakeholders to devise and execute on remediation plans, leveraging your experience and knowledge of Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection Programs
**Problem-Solving Abilities**: Ability to deep-dive problem statements to identify root cause and partner with the business to understand their needs when determining best solutions.
**Attention to Detail**: Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge of our internal systems & tools, comfortable reviewing and interpreting policies & procedures, ideally with good knowledge of multiple Global Financial Crime and Customer Protection programs, including Seller Risk.
**Education**:Bachelor's degree or 4 years relevant experience
