GENERAL SUMMARYWe are seeking an experienced Logistics Engineer to optimize operations in our large-scale warehouse environment. The role involves designing efficient logistics processes, monitoring financial metrics, managing purchase orders, invoicing, and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve operational performance while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESWarehouse Operations:Design, implement, and manage efficient warehouse layout and workflows to maximize space utilization and minimize operational costs.Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.Identify and address quality and compliance issues.Monitor workplace hazards, assess risks, and promote a health & safety culture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations and meet customer requirements.Financial Management:Manage the warehouse budget, including cost control and variance analysis. Identify cost-savings opportunities.Oversee the procurement process, including purchase order (PO) generation, vendor management, and invoice processing.Calculate staffing requirements for budgetary and operational needs.Monitor and analyze financial KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.Prepare accurate financial reports and forecasts.Key Performance Indicator (KPI) Tracking:Develop and implement a robust KPI framework to measure warehouse performance.Analyze statistical data and generate reports as required.Track and analyze key metrics, such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and labor productivity.Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to achieve performance targets.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND CERTIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in industrial engineering, logistics, warehousing, distribution, or a related field.5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a large-scale setting or in similar roles.Bilingual (English, Spanish), both oral and written.Proven experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant software.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI).Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies.Experience with warehouse equipment, automation, and robotics.Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., OHSA).Knowledge of internal logistics, transportation, and customs regulations.ACKNOWLEDGING THE POWER OF DIVERSITYBRP is dedicated to nurturing a culture that invites, connects, and propels the ambitions of people of all backgrounds, profiles, beliefs, and experiences.
