Job Summary: The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the Microsoft Store team with strategic project management, Store performance analytics, and complex business problem resolving skills. This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders and partnership team leads to ensure the alignment across teams on decisions related to marketing campaign activations, high priority project plannings, and Store performance development.
Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Build understanding of the business across multiple areas and engage with stakeholders to capture and document specific analytics requirements for various projects. Analytics Consultation: Serve as a subject matter resource on web analytics reporting. Inspire stakeholders to recognize and understand the importance of data to business goals and engage others to constructively consider how data can be leveraged to improve Store performance and relevant experiments. Analysis and Insights: Lead data analysis projects end-to-end from project initiation scoping based on business context to final presentation (written and oral) providing insights and actionable recommendations to the team. Help the team evaluate the impact of business, product or operational decisions. Reporting and Dashboarding: Develop, optimize, and automate reports and dashboards within Adobe Analytics and Power BI, leveraging existing data resources and flat files for efficient recurring reporting. Apply expertise to analytical tools and generate effective visualizations for effective storytelling. Data Quality Assurance: Understand how business needs translate into data requirements and evaluating sufficiency of data sources, address gaps and data quality issues with data owners. Ongoing Maintenance: Manage periodic updates, data refreshes, and make necessary adjustments to dashboards based on stakeholder requests. Project Management: Collaborate and build relationships with product managers (PM) across Microsoft Store team to ensure reporting consistency, facilitate insight generation, and improve the project pipelines. Executive Communications: Collaborate with Store PM leads to develop monthly business reviews and senior leadership review sessions. Draft insightful and high-level presentation slides that tell stories of analyses and provide constructive insights.
Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in a Business Analyst role with a focus on Adobe Analytics and Power BI. Strong analytical skills, motivated, organized and attention to detail. Proficient in report writing, data queries, and presentation of findings. Self-starter who knows how to deal with and thrives in ambiguity. Drive to innovate and solve complex business problems.
