In this role, you will act as a bridge between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and met. You will leverage data analysis and project management skills to drive successful project delivery and enhance our clients' operations.Key Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering Collaborate with stakeholders, including scientists and lab operators, to gather and document software requirements effectively. Facilitate workshops and meetings to ensure a thorough understanding of user needs and expectations. User Story Development Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria to communicate user requirements to engineering teams. Prioritize user stories based on project goals and user impact. Specification Documentation Create detailed functional and technical specifications to guide software development efforts and ensure clarity for engineers. Maintain documentation that is accessible and understandable for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaboration with Engineering Work closely with remote engineering teams to clarify requirements, provide ongoing support, and ensure alignment throughout the development process. Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and backlog refinement. Communication Maintain ongoing communication with the Director of Platform Strategy to ensure alignment on project priorities and timelines. Regularly update stakeholders on project status, challenges, and solutions. Time Management and Prioritization Manage competing priorities and timelines effectively, ensuring that key deliverables are met. Adapt quickly to changing project needs and scope while maintaining flexibility throughout the development process. Minimum Requirements: Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role in building tools for life sciences. Experience in software development is required; laboratory automation experience is highly desirable. Strong understanding of requirements gathering and documentation processes in a software development context. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including non-native English speakers. Proficiency in creating user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria that meet industry standards. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Experience with tools for documentation, project management, and collaboration (e.G., JIRA, Confluence, Miro). 1
