PURPOSE OF JOB/POSITION Business Analyst works independently on tasks with small to medium complexity. Inputs for work are directly given other stakeholders or more senior member of a team. Work can be validated by dedicated senior member.Main responsibility is to gather, analyze and document software specifications and may assign small complexity tasks on more junior members of a team if neededResponsible for update of documentation of assigned whole software applicationsIt is expected that the output will be on a desired level according to company standards.Close cooperation with development, product/platform owners, QA and others is expected on daily basis including validation of user stories, QA and other outcomesSCOPE: Works with the business to identify the challenges and opportunities for digital solutions to make an impactInterprets Takeda's SDLC to help junior business analyst/s and various stakeholders, collaborate effectively during the entire journey including identification of opportunitiesMaintain documentation and outputs for assigned parts of softwareEnsure that analytical outputs are complete, consistent, understandable, achievable, unambiguous, verifiable and in line with established standardsProcess and decompose internal customer requirements into specifications and smaller blocks like user storiesWorks with teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, testing, training, defining support proceduresProvides continuous updates to stakeholders and Project Manager during project delivery, communicate changes, problems, and ambiguities in a timely mannerACCOUNTABILITIES: Gather and analyze requirements from internal customers in form of discussions, workshops, and othersProcess and decompose internal customer requirements into specifications and smaller blocks like user storiesGather and incorporate suggestions from stakeholders into analytical outputsMaintain and manage changes in documentation and outputs for assigned parts of softwareCreate and update analytical outputs like software specifications and their componentsCollaborate in defining, implementing, and improving processes, policies, and tools related to analysisPrepare reports for the project manager / direct manager and present the results of the analysisEnsure that analytical outputs are complete, consistent, understandable, achievable, unambiguous, verifiable and in line with established standardsDeliver tasks on time and in the required qualityUse and follow set standards and processesCommunicate changes, problems, and ambiguities in a timely mannerDIMENSIONS AND ASPECTS: Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise (Breadth and depth of knowledge, application and complexity of technical knowledge) Ability to decompose high-level information into small parts, abstract small parts into large pictureAbility to find missing information and coordinate gathering of inputs on his ownKnowledge of relevant domains/products/journeysConfident and skilled at identifying and navigating through roadblocksKnowledge on BPMN, UMLExperience in Agile developmentLeadership (Vision, strategy and business alignment, people management, communication, influencing others, managing change) Ability to effectively engage stakeholders and support them in their "Agile" journeyAbility to influence and build consensus amongst peers and less experienced analystsFacilitates a culture which is open for innovation and automation, and remove barriers for an effective automation cultureCommunicates the impact of various projects to leadership teamDecision-making and Autonomy (The capacity and authority to make organizational decisions, autonomy in decision-making, complexity of decisions, impact of decisions, problem-solving) Able to balance the needs of the business and development when managing and prioritizing the project pipelineAssertive, with the confidence to be a voice of authority and able to influence stakeholdersInteraction (The span and nature of one's engagement with others when performing one's job, internal and external relationships) Create and maintain an atmosphere of trust through facilitation of retrospectives and feedback exchange among team membersHelp other teams and conventional parts of the organization build effective communication and interaction with the teamCoordinate interaction with other teams of one's own and other unitsComplexity (Products managed, mix of businesses, internal and/or external business environment, cultural considerations) Contribute to product development to the extent of her or his competenceClear obstacles and blockers in the team's path (such as dependencies on other teams) and maintain a list of obstaclesDivide problems into smaller tasks and solve them effectively.
