The Business Development Grp Mgr is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. - to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide leadership to the brokerage network with strong focus on credit cycle and people management
- Leads/participates in the design, implementation, and management of core business/group processes.
- Lead cross functional teams & Knowledge
- partner & influence effectively across diverse stakeholder groups, including research -competitors, credit channels, operations, finance, analytics, risk management, legal, compliance and tech.
- P&L management - deep understanding of P&L to ensure products both deliver market leading customer value value to our shareholders
- Provide sales leadership to Sales Heads, RMs/ROs, and Service RMs/Officers to exceed financial plan numbers and net promoter score targets
- Collaborates on Loan and Account origination process design, enhancements and cross-sell tools.
- Develop, motivate, and empower team members to fully realize their potential and to maximize sales opportunities for the brokerage business
- Responsible for business development of the affluent to create new investment and banking opportunities
- Establish and develop strong partnerships with the bank and other businesses units to develop new client relationships
**Qualifications**:
- 10+ years relevant experience
- Good in-depth knowledge of financial products and services Comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure the maintenance of operational controls that exceed audit standards Hands-on knowledge of branch and AML functions
- Advanced people management skills, coaching skills, and problem solving skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Results-driven and possess strong verbal and written communication skills
