The Business Development Manager will then work with the organization to commercialize these opportunities and generate revenue growth.
The incumbent is expected to be a valuable and influential insider within the coatings industry, with the technical knowledge to confidently discuss product concepts and projects with customers.Major tasks and responsibilities of position:Achieve sales plan and core volume growth of CA specialties.Generate a deep understanding of the market landscape, including details of market sub-segments and key players with their market share.Deliver top-line growth by working with the regional team to commercialize long-term projects and opportunities within the market segments.Uncover unmet needs and generate ideas that lead to a robust long-term project portfolio.Understand end-user processes and competitive technologies and effectively communicate Covestro's value proposition along the entire value chain.Value added to the success of the company - what are the main objectives of the function?Achieve revenue, volume, and profitability objectives for the CA business.Develop long-term relationships with customers for sustained market growth.Increase Covestro market share through new business development and maintaining/growing market position at existing accounts.Work relations:External:Direct customers and prospects - key decision makers.Customer's Top/Senior Management as well as key contacts in smaller enterprises.Consultants & Business partners.Internal:CA Head, Regional Sectors & Channels.Local SC&L, HSEQ, LIPC.CA Global organization.Qualifications (Education, skills, experiences and personal characteristics necessary for success in this position):Minimum 3 years marketing or sales experience in a managerial position.Minimum 5 years of solid technical expertise in the CASE industry.University Degree in Chemistry or Engineering preferred.In-depth technical understanding in coatings and adhesives polymers is an advantage.Excellent presentation/negotiation skills.Strong strategic thinking.Intrapreneurial mindset.YOUR APPLICATIONAre you as curious, courageous, and colorful as we are?
