Learn more today.**Job Title**: Business Development Manager**Department**: Sales**Position Overview**The Business Development Manager creates, maintains and enhances business opportunities by developing and cultivating strategic business partner relationships in order to deliver exceptional experiences and outcomes.**Area(s) of Responsibility**- Expand Velocity's market share with existing and new customers- Identify and develop strategic business opportunities through value added programs- Deliver strategic customer growth**Essential Functions**- Determine key growth opportunities and coordinate with Management to set strategies for capitalizing on them- Supports the Sales Management team and in motivating, training, and assisting Strategic Account Managers to maximize sales and margin- Work towards winning Approved Vendor status with multinational customers- Work with Management to ensure a coherent top down/bottom up strategy- Plan and accompany Strategic Account Managers on periodic visits to customers- Create periodic reports detailing aggregate and individual travel expenses related to customer visits- Create and present periodic reports detailing sales and gross profit projections, actual total sales, quarterly work plans and results within region.- Represent and communicate Velocity's culture, values, and value proposition**Education, Experience, Knowledge**- 4-year college degree preferred; High School Diploma required- 3+ years of sales or business development experience in the electronic components industry required- 6+ years of sales or business development experience in the electronic components industry preferred- Computer literate- Proficient with office productivity software**Traits**- Is Amazing- Acts courageously- Owns own outcomes- Demonstrates mutual respect and trust- Proven leadership and ability to drive sales teams- Exceptional judgment- Accurate and thorough- Competitive- Ambitious- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Ability to build rapport- Self-motivated- Attention to detail- Problem solver- Emotional control- Persistent- Grit- High endurance**The position requires a High Level of English language proficiency
