.What you will doHe/she will actively identify, investigate, and evaluate new business development opportunities and alliances that promote the organization's objectives and Fire Suppression Products. This portfolio includes the following: Special Hazards, Water and Foam products. Specifically, this position will manage Business Development efforts for Restaurant, Vehicle, Portables, Gaseous and Industrial Systems, Foam, FARS, and Water products. This individual will develop strong relationships with key users/owners and specifying officials in order to ensure Johnson Controls Fire Products are listed as a proprietary or preferred vendor. This may include working with end-users and other industry decision-makers regarding product features and benefits, understanding of listing requirements and other technical details. This role is designated for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Markets. This position will report to the Director of Business Development.How you will do itAnalyze new business opportunities, develop sales plans and execute planned action steps in order to acquire.Participate with Business Development efforts and retention selling to ensure continued success and profitability of Tyco Fire Products.Provide on-site technical training to Architects, Consulting Engineers, AHJs, End Users (owners) and Key Accounts.Develop and support sales training programs for internal and external representatives.Coordinate with sales personnel to ensure they are aware of upcoming projects, opportunities and/or changes in customer specifications.Provide detailed documentation on a timely basis on meetings, site visits and other critical information.Participate in strategic planning processes with Director of Business Development.Conduct research and analysis of business opportunities, consistent with organization's long-range and strategic plans.Implement market business plans and initiatives.Explore and build partner relationships to develop and/or enhance business alliances.Conduct the research and analysis of business opportunities, assessing potential markets and developing projects for use in new marketing initiatives. Evaluate projects through financial feasibility studies, market research, and planning.Identify new opportunities for TFPP by visiting existing and new customers.Be responsive to the customers' needs and follow through on all aspects of requests, both written and verbal.What we look for (Required)Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field of study.Minimum 2-4 years in business development/sales experience in Fire Suppression, Fire Alarm or Fire Protection industry.Strong technical aptitude.Excellent written and verbal communication.Able to present in front of large audiences.Strong leadership characteristics.Organization and time management skills.Fluency in English and Spanish (verbal and written).Ability to travel up to 60% throughout Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean
