Business Intelligence AnalystWe are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to create and manage analytics and reporting dashboards using Power BI and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, you should have a background in data and business analysis. You will drive the research, design, and build of dashboards and drill-down reporting of metrics, KPIs and results for our dealers. Critical to success is the ability to transform raw data into visually appealing and informative reports and dashboards including the ability to organize a variety of reports into workspaces that allow users to quickly access reporting to address their most pressing questions. Dashboard and reporting usability is a top priority (maintaining version control, standardized templates, style guides and consistency).
Here is more of what you'll get to do:Translate complex business needs into actionable technical specifications for BI models and reporting solutions.Design, build, and maintain interactive BI models, dashboards, and reports using Power BI. Monitor and optimize Power BI service performance for maximum efficiency and accessibility.Develop and manage data pipelines from data lakes into the Power BI service, ensuring consistent and reliable data flow.Standardize and normalize data from various sources to ensure consistency and usability across the organization.Write and optimize SQL/Presto queries for curated data views, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the data for reporting and analysis.Conduct ad-hoc queries and perform data analysis to provide timely insights and answers to specific business questions.Create and deliver high-quality, easy-to-understand reports for stakeholders at all organizational levels, supporting data-driven decision-making.Stay up to date on industry best practices and emerging trends in data reporting and analytics.You'll thrive in this role if you have:5+ years of experience working with a BI tool, preferably Power BI and proven experience as a BI Developer.3+ years of experience with digital analytics systems (Google Analytics, Piwik, etc.).Expertise with writing Power Query and DAX code.Significant experience normalizing and simplifying datasets, including using data best practices.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills including understanding what the data means and using it to create reports and dashboards that tell a story.Proven ability to summarize and present complex findings clearly and concisely to various technical and management level stakeholders.Experience with ETL and data modeling, specifically in AWS Data Lake environment preferred.Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities combined with an internal drive to stay on top of emerging industry trends.Experience creating and maintaining Power BI dataflows is a plus.Knowledge of Software Development LifeCycle (SDLC) like Agile preferred.Attention to detail, comfort with ambiguity, and ability to adapt to ongoing change.Rapid and data-driven decision-maker with a passion for digging into complex questions with an evidence-based approach.Strong internal motivation with proven abilities to take initiative and be innovative.Ability to work independently with limited supervision taking a proactive role in executing assignments.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Does this position sound like something you would enjoy and be successful at, but you're not sure you have the exact qualifications to be considered?
