**Your mission**:

**Your role**:
You will join the **Data** team of currently 5 team members (and 7 by the end of the year). The Data team is a newly established team within fotograf.de/GotPhoto. Most of our teams are based in Germany, and one is based in Portugal, but this role is a fully remote position based in Europe. Ideally, you are within a 2-hour time difference of Berlin because we want you to have a good balance between work and your personal life. You will work with Product, QA, Engineers, and Business stakeholders and report to our Head of Data. If you want to learn more about the team, give our team page a read.
**OUR STACK**
We take a pragmatic approach to building products and systems that work for our customers. We are mainly on AWS Platform (RDS, Snowflake). We also use GitLab, Jira, and Confluence. We also use Airbyte for ELT. We use Metabase for database exploration, building dashboards and reports.
Since our business has complex use cases, we keep the cognitive load for our Devs as low as possible so they focus on solving problems rather than configuring tech. Read more about our tech here.
We follow Agile development and have synchronous and asynchronous communication. We love to collaborate, you will find us regularly sharing tips and tricks during our brown bag lunches, organising hackathons, and pair coding to solve our most complex problems. **As our BI Analyst, you will**:
- Develop interactive dashboards utilizing Metabase to present key insights and metrics.
- Generate comprehensive reports tailored to specific business requirements.
- Employ statistical tools, with a preference for Metabase and Snowflake, to conduct data visualization and in-depth analytics.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to analyse, record, and verify business prerequisites.
- Communicate effectively to ensure alignment between analytical outputs and business needs.
**Skills we are looking for**:
- 4+ years of SQL/MySQL/Postgresql experience, knowledge, and understanding of warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT, reporting/analytics tools environments (we use Metabase!), and data structures
- You are an expert in handling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- You have a profound knowledge of data modeling techniques and good skills in quantitative statistics.
- You have a university degree in statistics, mathematics, or engineering.
- You have **excellent communication skills in Englis**h** and can explain your solutions to internal stakeholders, tech and non-tech alike.
- It is natural for you to work with a collaborative mindset and you are proactive about your work
