.Provides support to buyers to ensure pricing and purchase orders are established for the overseas parent and the Mexico affiliate from North America suppliers. Supports implementation of sourcing activities for spot orders, emergency buys, trials, samples and reverse vanning. Coordinates the change of sourcing of all parts for the Mexico affiliate and the overseas parent. Serves as direct liaison between internal departments and sales program suppliers. Facilitates development and launching of new part sales programs. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.**Key Responsibilities**:Negotiates and establishes commodity prices for production parts. Handles assigned commodities. Ensures cost control in accordance with the Nissan revival plan cost reduction goals and requirements. Locates suppliers and develops their abilities to meet current and future production parts requirements. Ensures suppliers meet Nissan's goals for quality, cost and delivery. Performs comparative analysis of competing suppliers to select most competitive source for a specified commodity. Establishes contracts for assigned commodities; maintains purchase orders, and related purchasing records; maintains files and records of current and potential suppliers, materials and prices. Coordinates activities between all departments and supplier base to ensure uninterrupted supply of parts and resolution of supply issues and problems. Plans, develops, implements and maintains cost reduction plans in support of the department's cost reduction goals. Locates suppliers and negotiates for the procurement of facilities and MRO purchased items and services related to non-production purchasing. As necessary, performs other related duties of which the above are representative.**Education**:Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. Consider equivalent related college or technical courses, seminars and in-house classroom training.**Experience**:One year or less of related experience in a professional business atmosphere.**Job Knowledge and Skill**:Knowledge of job flow in the production control and purchasing organizations, from program development to launch.Plastic injection or manufacturing processes in general.**Language**:Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
