**Job Summary**:
The position will be responsible for raw material purchasing and production planning for the construction hardware production line.
**Responsibilities**:
- Purchase raw materials to external suppliers based on MRP and Pull System requirements.
- Expedite and follow up component requirements from suppliers.
- Daily production scheduling based on components availability, order priorities, production line capacity and assembly rates.
- Negotiate better delivery times with suppliers.
- Resolve quality rejections with suppliers.
- Resolve invoice issues with suppliers together with A/P.
- Daily meetings with production team to coordinate priorities and adjust production scheduling.
- Follow upproduction status and expedite with all the departments involved according to priorities.
- Work together with traffic the coordination of import/exports logistics.
- Responsible for monitoring and implement actions to maintain Key Performance Indicators such as On Time Delivery, Past due Backlog and Inventory Turns.
- Monthly review and analysis of demand and component availability in order to forecast monthly production and adjust safety stock levels.
- Establish a process to be able to give quick and accurate promise dates to customer service representatives based on components receipt dates and production rates.
- Generate excel and SAP reports daily.
- Teleconference meetings as needed with USA to follow up production and ship dates to customers.
- Support in continuous improvement projects such as MPS and TPI kaizen events.
- Revise and execute ISO 9000 control plans.
**Required Skills and Experience**
- Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering or administration.
- At least 1 year experience in purchasing and production planning related positions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (English).
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Experience working with an ERP system (SAP knowledge will bea plus).
