What you will do: Assist senior procurement professionals in sourcing and acquiring direct materials for JCI's Chillers business unit. Learn and implement established commodity strategies to optimize cost and compliance for suppliers. Support the team in achieving year-over-year savings by monitoring site execution of category strategies. Gain experience with procurement software for cost-saving tracking and approvals. Contribute to supplier rationalization and development initiatives with guidance of senior team members. How you will do it: Work closely with the procurement team to understand commodity strategies and cost-saving techniques. Analyze supplier spend data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Assist with negotiations and learn best practices for securing favorable contracts. Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure transparency and traceability in purchasing processes. Develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills to contribute to continuous improvement efforts. What we look for: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (business, supply chain, engineering preferred). 1-2 years of experience in a procurement or related field. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software. Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
