What you will do:
- Assist senior procurement professionals in sourcing and acquiring direct materials for JCI's Chillers business unit.
- Learn and implement established commodity strategies to optimize cost and compliance for suppliers.
- Support the team in achieving year-over-year savings by monitoring site execution of category strategies.
- Gain experience with procurement software for cost-saving tracking and approvals.
- Contribute to supplier rationalization and development initiatives with guidance of senior team members.
How you will do it:
- Work closely with the procurement team to understand commodity strategies and cost-saving techniques.
- Analyze supplier spend data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with negotiations and learn best practices for securing favorable contracts.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to ensure transparency and traceability in purchasing processes.
- Develop strong problem-solving and analytical skills to contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (business, supply chain, engineering preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience in a procurement or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new software.
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment.
- Fluent - Advanced English
