Manages all activities related to procurement.- Follows company ISO Procedures and Work Instructions.- Review MRP report verify the demand, place orders, pull in and push out orders according to MRP messages and communicate cross functional for proper outcome.- Confirm all purchase orders and update MRP system in timely manner.- Review past due purchase order follow up with supplier and be pro-active to follow up with suppliers to avoid late deliveries.- Collaborate with quoting, customer support, quality, production and receiving department consistently to close any open actions.- Review materials usage, forecast and take action as required to meet customer demand.- Negotiate best prices available and select primary suppliers based on best price, quality and service.- Investigates potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.- Directs team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be used.- Assures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the company.- Maintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of records.- Creates reports as needed to manage data and communicate needs.**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES **To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
