.**Primary Job Responsibilities**:- Manage the activities of tactical acquisition of suppliers and assigned raw materials.- Manage activities related to updates relevant to purchase orders.- Place purchase orders to suppliers in a timely manner using Oracle tools, ASCP and specific requests from clients.- Implement and maintain the Ultriva Kanban system as required.- Request authorization to place purchase orders for low volume items according to requirements policies.- Support in the resolutions of matters related to sending and receiving material.- Manage activities and indicators of required goals (RDSL) and promises (PDSL).- Support in the control of variations in the purchase price.- Coordinate delivery assurance activities.- Participate in business reviews with suppliers.- Work with the planning team on special projects as needed.- Hold monthly conferences with suppliers and the specialist in strategic purchases.- Evaluate suppliers, development and improvements.- Obtain delivery dates (zero, low volume of castings).- Execute the inventory phase in and out of plans for new products.- Execute vendor transitions after FA approval (first items) quotes, inventory reconciliations commitment by the strategic buyer.- Carry out the safety and hygiene activities that are required to ensure proper operation and compliance with the goals of the health and safety subcommittee to which it belongs.- Responsible for participating and complying with the training programs.- Actively participate in cost reduction.- Comply with the safety and hygiene regulations and standards established by the Company.- Do everything your supervisor tells you.**Required Skills - External****Qualification**- Management of inventory management programs: AS400, BPCS, Kronos, MRP, Oracle, JD Edwards.- Analytical skills, for communication, negotiation and teamwork.- Management of Microsoft Office, Excel advanced**Experience**:- At least 5 years in purchasing (raw material) and inventory control.- Previous experience in Kanban, materials, as buyer.**Education**:- Bachelor's degree business, purchasing or related field required- Bilingual 90%- MBA is a plus**Equal Opportunity EmployerEmerson is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
