About the Role
The Buyer is responsible for the supply plan of finished goods and materials, works closely with sourcing and the vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials.
The buyer also works closely with account management, customer service, and customers to ensure demand requirements are met.
Buyers also analyze requirements trends and develop strategies to optimize the supply chain processes by elaborating systems and written controlled procedures to deploy within the organization.
This role will be critical in maintaining our inventory levels and ensuring that we get materials in a timely manner, mitigating any risks of stockouts.
Your Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and implement strategies for supply planning.Review historical trends on demand/material requirements and recommend actions.Create supply plan (make and buy) based on demand requirements.Monitor cost and schedule of assigned purchase orders as well as purchase price variations (PPV).Solve problems with orders and resolve all receiving and invoicing discrepancies.Act as mentor and coach within the purchasing and planning department; provide guidance as needed to other buyers as requested.Implement action and escalate according to escalation protocol as necessary.Coordinate with production and support areas to ensure on-time delivery of finished goods to customers.Negotiate and coordinate with suppliers, sourcing, logistics, and project management to ensure PO on-time deliveries.Responsible for KPIs such as on-time delivery, past due orders, etc.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in international business, business administration, industrial engineering, or equivalent experience (1-3 years in similar job positions).Ability to fluently speak and write in English is required.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning.Proficient in Excel & Power BI.Additional Success Factors:
