.RESPONSIBILITIESDaily Purchase orders review, release and confirmation.Monitor and execute exception messages in a timely manner (Pull ins, reschedule outs and cancellations).Monthly forecast review and distribution to critical/strategic suppliers.Monitor supplier delivery performance, days on hand and related quality issues.Daily coordination of information between planning, production, purchasing and shipping.Develop in-depth knowledge on parts/commodities managed to aid in expedites and suggest part deviations to resolve shortages and mitigate high risk situations.Inventory level control, oversee Inventory policy through ABCD classification and use of proper ordering/planning parameters, to avoid excess, obsolescence, and shortages.Identify suppliers that should be part of development programs and actively participate in those key projects.Resolve supplier & data issues, (i.E. Price discrepancies, invoices discrepancies, receiving issues).Work with suppliers overseas and different cultural backgrounds to meet the supply needs of our business.Train and provide leadership to new associates.Represent the group in relevant meetings and act as a liaison.Analyze and help manage supplier held inventories including E&O with a focus on limiting exposure.Adjust forecasts and planning parameters as required including safety stocks, reorder points, minimum orders etc. in adherence with Vertiv guidelines.Participate in Cost savings efforts (i.E. Freight, Packaging, Price).Participate in daily production and planning meetings.Secure Corrective actions and Execute RMA process when applicable.Coordinate Engineering changes with suppliers, Material Planning and Engineering for purchased parts.Generate daily, weekly, monthly metric reports.Arrange domestic and international expedited shipments in collaboration with Logistics team.Onboard new suppliers by providing training on Vertiv systems and processes.Management of higher dollar, longer lead-time, higher risk parts and suppliers.QUALIFICATIONSAPICS or CPM certification.Bilingual.Experience in an industrial, high mix job shop environment.Very proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office.Hands-on experience with calculating safety stocks, reorder points (MIN/MAX) and forecasting and inventory turns.Basic understanding of how Excess, obsolete, payment terms, ITO and PPV impact business financials.Outstanding communication skills and ability to work at high levels within organization structures to get mind share with suppliers.Experience with ERP systems.English oral and written skills.Demonstrating Ethics and Integrity.Effectively work with diverse cultural backgrounds in English.Analysis, Solving Problems and Making Decisions.Taking Risk and Innovating.Providing Customer Service.Managing and Developing Yourself—Self Awareness.Drive and High Sense of Urgency.Achieving Outcomes and Optimizing Processes, Procedures and Practices.Conflict Resolution.Establishing Effective Teamwork
