Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Buyer. What you'll do:PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ensure timely deliveries of all non-production materials (MRO) and services, interfacing directly with suppliers and negotiating prices, always adhering to legal and internal control processes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Monitor and ensure that in-house suppliers provide integrated sourcing, evaluating their performance through Eaton controls and follow up.Assist plant requirements by developing, maintaining, and fostering strong relationships with suppliers and identifying RFQs for indirect materials and services, focusing mainly on new supplier requests for SLP new projects.Participate in or contribute to integrators cost-out objectives.OEA active participation as auditor.Manage and perform twice a year evaluation for critical suppliers through user service surveys, feedback, and action plans that help to maintain the best supplier performance service.Support with new contract processes including NDA DPA.Control processing orders, MRO consignment, shipments, request for quotes (RFQs), PO's creation, and bidding process, etc.Attend to internal customers and provide requisition support to users.Review and resolve on-hold invoices in Markview on a timely manner for all SLP ledgers.Process set-ups (new suppliers, changes for TCO Mexico and Monterrey).Promote the company's vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.Support with suppliers' new evaluation processes required due to different audit requirements like DNV, OEA, SOX, MESH, OPA.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in business, administration or related.Minimum 2 years in purchasing.English – language capability, speaking, reading & writing required.Customer service skills.Must be proactive and results-oriented.Cost analysis, negotiation skills, communication skills, foreign purchasing management, and coordination.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:Position requires a customer-focus, proactive problem-solving skills, and effective communications and negotiation skills.Proactive & results driven.Participate actively in Eaton's initiatives such as community involvement, diversity, and wellness.Skills:We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for job applicants and employees.
