The Planner/Buyer is responsible for supply chain management.
Responsibilities will include coordination and planning of all activities related to the production of FGs, release schedules, and analyzing forecasts to ensure timely completion of manufacturing orders and the availability of resources (Procurement, Planning, Inventory control, and logistics).To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Duties and Key Responsibilities:Achieve On-time delivery targetsConvert customer demand (Sales Orders) into a production schedule (netting out on-hand FG inventory and available machine/labor capacity)Minimize line disruptions and prevent materials-related line downsEffectively manage inventory to meet ITO, DOS, and E/O targetsOversee purchasing activities to ensure MRP messages are followed, exposure is minimized, and PPV is minimized, past due orders are tracked and minimizedOversee critical processes including Sourcing Team escalation, CCN, MOQ/EOQ BSM escalation, std cost verification, etc.Participate in cost-reduction and CPI programsOversee performance to inventory targets and exposure guidelinesOversee performance to Quarantine resolutionEvaluate and manage by metricsSupport if necessary in other duties required by the CompanyExperience and Education Required:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, e.G., Business, Engineering, Management, etc.Two to Three years of progressive Supply chain/Materials/Procurement/Planning/Inventory control management experience gained within a manufacturing environment.Strong knowledge in ERP systems.Medical industry knowledge/experience preferred.Strong verbal English and Spanish verbal and written skills including effective negotiation skills.A proven track record of cost savings.APICS C.P.I.M.
