This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a growing team and influence the way we operate. You will be responsible for using and maintaining ERP system(s) and for the buying and planning of assigned product lines for all Gates North America locations. This role will also support processes for continuous improvement in Planning and Purchasing in North America.Key responsibilities:Manage inventory and service levels of assigned product lines for all North America Facilities supporting revenue and working capital goals.Lead resolution of schedule adherence, supplier on-time delivery, quality, and price challenges by partnering with cross-functional teams.Follow and manage standardized processes and work instructions across the team and organization, leading improvement changes as needed.Continuously seek process improvement and optimization.Schedule and coordinate supply requirements from the supply base and manage working capital/inventory.Lead root cause analysis to address service level or inventory variances and develop corrective actions.Manage projects to introduce new products, suppliers, and system functionality.Possess knowledge and understanding of production, purchasing, and inventory planning with strong analytical data processing experience.Experience in root cause and corrective action activities in a fast-paced culture.Prior experience in a high SKU count environment preferred.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy with a high level of forward reaction response required.Working knowledge of project management principles and practices.Understanding of laws and regulations relating to procurement contracts and SOX compliance.Strong team player who proactively supports other team members and builds collaborative relationships.Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to facilitate collaboration in cross-regional and multi-cultural teams.Demonstrated ability to manage a team, set targets, measure performance, and drive a continuous improvement culture.Advanced computer skills are required, including high-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations Management and 5-7 years of purchasing and planning experience.In-depth Excel knowledge
