.As a Buyer, you are in contact with several account teams across Europe and with our approved supplier base in the Far East to ensure optimal sourcing and buying within a specific product category. You aim to reach operational excellence, in line with adm procurement strategies set out by the Category Management Team.Main Duties/Responsibilities:Research and select quality products and materialsBuild relationships with global suppliers and negotiate for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescalesCarry out price benchmarkingCollect quotes from vendors, analyze, and make recommendations accordinglySubmit quotes back to the Client teamsEnsure all required information is completed in the system or tools used within the businessRaise and process Purchase Orders when neededRequest and manage samples, documenting and providing feedback to the appropriate stakeholdersKick off and monitor tooling processMonitor productions, order management, and work closely with supply chain on deliveriesSubmit POs to suppliers and coordinate with production management teamsEnsure supplier sign-off on POsBook and manage quality assurance and quality control activitiesArrange transport of goods; DDP with the supplier or FOB with support from Supply Chain and responsibility for tracking and communication back to the Business Account Unit (BAU) to ensure on-time and in-full deliveryKeep suppliers accountable for their responsibilitiesEnsure factories are compliant per adm's guidanceDaily contact with various account teams and support them with issue resolutionWork collaboratively with other departments such as Sourcing, Quality, BAUs, Supplier Engagement, Supply Chain, and Finance/Accounts Payable/ReceivableProvide regular status update reports to the Buying Manager or line ManagerBecome a subject matter expert in the assigned sourcing categories and develop technical expertiseSupport briefings from other categories as neededIdentify gaps in our manufacturing base partners to assure all needs are covered according to client requests and region capabilitiesCommunicate gaps to be covered to the strategic teams and vendor engagement to work accordinglyProvide feedback on vendors to ensure continuous evaluation of adm preferred supplier listOccasionally support on new business implementation RFQsKnowledge/Experience:The ideal candidate has 1-3 years' experience working in sourcing/procurement rolesExcellent negotiating skills to secure the best prices according to budgetResult-driven & persuasiveGood order management skills and works well in a deadline-oriented environmentCritical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to make decisionsStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAble to work well in a teamExcellent computer skills (Office suite)Strong communication skills, both written and verbalEnglish and Spanish are a must
