**Position: CAD Operator**

**Work Schedule**:Typ. Mon-Fri Sat. as needed Minimum 47.5 hr/week

**Reports To: Detailing Supervisor**

**Location/Division New Millennium Building Systems - Juarez, MX**

**Department: Engineering**

**Pay Grade/Pay Rate: Pay is commensurate with performance and experience,**

**ROA Bonus Eligible**

**Brief Description**:
New Millennium is the 2nd largest steel joist and deck fabricator in the United States. We are proud of our flexibility and eagerness to assist customers and co-workers.

**Job Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Prepare layout plans and sections using AutoCAD
- Coordinate project details with customers, steel detailers, engineers and others
- Designate loading for material based on the contract documents
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously in fast-paced, production driven environment
- Meet schedules for assigned projects
- Other duties as necessary

**Required**
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to visualize how elements fit together in 3D when working with 2D drawings
- Willingness to go beyond typical duties to assist co-workers and customers
- Willingness to work more than 47.5 hours a week, as required

**Preferred**
- Experienced in AutoCAD
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Experience working in the construction or fabrication industry.
- Degree or experience in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
