The role of a Global Partner Marketing Lead at Canonical.Open source software is the new default in the enterprise, and Canonical is the new challenger to major enterprise software vendors.Canonical is looking for a Global Partner Marketing Lead who will be responsible for developing our commercial relationships with a set of global partners.
Canonical partners with the leading companies in technology across public cloud (Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Oracle…), silicon (ARM, Intel, Qualcomm, Mediatek, Nvidia, Xilinx…), and hardware vendors (Dell, HP, HPE, Lenovo).
Our portfolio covers a large swathe of the open source software space from operating system - Ubuntu - to full enterprise solutions for infrastructure and applications.
We can deliver software-defined storage, private cloud solutions, container runtime environments, as well as databases, message queues, identity, observability, analytics, machine learning, and web publishing capabilities.
Our goal is to have more open source solutions on tap than any other vendor, and we have built unique capabilities to make that possible across every cloud, every class of compute, and every category of application.We are looking for a Global Partner Marketing Lead who will be responsible for developing our strategic relationships with a set of global partners.
Our business increasingly depends on partners, whether embedding, reselling, or building advanced solutions based on our technology.
We are thus looking for an individual who will not only drive successful marketing activities with our partners but also design partner programs for each partner segment.The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, technology marketing, and the use of technology in marketing.
You will prefer to work in an environment that emphasizes ownership of campaigns, collaboration, learning, curiosity, and a drive to continually improve oneself, the team, and the organization.
You will also love to problem-solve, get hands-on, experiment, measure, and use automation to make daily life easier.This role reports to the VP of Marketing.Location: Our company largely works from home, this role can be based in the Americas.What your day will look likeLead a team of Partner Marketing ManagersGrow channel sales through integrated partner marketing programs, across system integrators, public cloud, device manufacturers, and semiconductorsEstablish & support relationships with partner sales, channel, and marketing teams to improve partner sales potential for Canonical products, services, and technologiesDevelop & maintain a deep understanding of partner business strategies and objectives.Apply product marketing approaches to devise 1+1=3 messages and approaches across all partner categories.Drive marketing consistency among partners to ensure Canonical's brand and value proposition are accurately and professionally represented.Bring together Canonical and partner capabilities to improve touchpoints to elevate awareness and business opportunities.Put in place systems and metrics to consistently improve marketing effectiveness.What we are looking for in youExperience in B2B marketing and experience working with strategic corporate partners to develop co-marketing initiativesExperience in enterprise software, SaaS, or silicon preferredStrong customer/partner relationship management skillsProven analytical skills, able to assess opportunities and make decisions on ROI/advantages of programs & investmentsTrack record of delivering strong results and innovationGrowth mindset - someone who is not afraid to think big and take on riskWillingness to roll up your sleevesExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work and thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced, and changing environmentLoves diverse work assignments and enjoys the opportunity to try new approaches and overcome challenges.What we offer youYour base pay will depend on various factors including your geographical location, level of experience, knowledge, and skills.
