We reached profitability in 2020, reaching 10 million happy customers and over a billion dollars of sales in 2023.This RoleThe Capital Markets Manager will directly contribute to the shaping and implementation of the funding strategy needed to support PayJoy's phone finance and credit products. This role will work in close collaboration with a number of other individuals across risk, financial products, product, engineering, sales and operations. Also, the Capital Markets Manager will assist in the negotiation, documentation, and implementation of international credit facilities and manage an ecosystem of lenders and facilities, including the PayJoy Asset fund, across all of PayJoy's markets.ResponsibilitiesSupport and contribute to PayJoy's funding strategy of the existing loan book in Latam and expansion into new markets in Africa and Asia.Manage the ecosystem of PayJoy's lenders, including institutional and private investors and assist with day-to-day operations and management of existing facilities.Assist with/ lead structuring new and managing existing capital market relationships, operations, reporting and compliance requirements for existing facilities. Evaluate changing business needs and amend facilities as needed.With respect to PJAF, manage aspects of PJAF operations, fund admin relationship, audit process, investor reporting and relations with minimal supervision; understand PJAF structure and be comfortable making outbound marketing calls. Collaborate internally with finance, risk and go-to-market teams on funding projections and cost of capital forecasts.Collaborate with risk teams to analyze portfolio performance.Build analytical models to evaluate product, country and capital structure decisions including cost of capital, advance rates and liquidity planning for review with senior leadership.Prepare marketing materials and other presentations/reports as required to run the business, including for equity raises. Support investor relations - equity and debt investor engagement, manage data rooms and periodic updates with risk teams.Requirements3+ years of capital markets/ finance experience, especially structured finance; investment banking strongly preferred.Knowledge of consumer lending products and fintech landscape.Team player who is able to collaborate across groups internally, work on a variety of projects simultaneously and across multiple geographies.Strong quantitative, analytical and modeling skills, understanding of financial statements and ability to build models from scratch.Excellent research skills, oral and written communication, and attention to detail
