Consultant, Supply Chain Inv/Purchasing Apply Locations: Mexico-Cuauhtemoc, Mexico-Delicias Time Type: Full time Posted: 2 Days Ago Job Requisition ID: 20150661 Responsible for managing supplier relations at a tactical level, negotiating product costs, utilizing terms and conditions, working with internal customers to reduce product costs, improve the supply chain, evaluate supplier performance, execute purchase orders, and manage raw material inventory. Accountabilities in this role: Review requirements "MRP" and place orders for assigned products within appropriate time frames. Ensure timely delivery of products, materials, and supplies. Assess, determine, and communicate resolution of supplier problems that pertain to service level and inventory issues; Phase In Phase Out coordination (RM's Savings Projects); Accounts Payable issues resolution - related to RM suppliers; Supply Chain Optimization (LSS Projects); RM Quality issues resolution / credit collection; RM Inventory Management; Manage Supplier relationships. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal customers (manufacturing, warehouse, planning) and external customers (Plants in Mexico, Dominican Republic, and other subcontractors). What is expected of you for success in your role: Demonstrates advanced knowledge of purchasing concepts and principles, including best practices. Analyzes and develops recommendations for contract terms and business requirements. Manages purchasing activities to provide deliverables within the stated performance and quality parameters. Identifies opportunities for improvements to service, inventory, and quality. Competencies: Works to understand complex functional situations by paying attention to the details of the tasks at hand and by breaking them down into smaller pieces. Collaborates with others and builds strategic alliances globally; negotiates to build broad-based support and/or persuades others in order to influence important outcomes. Demonstrates and executes on knowledge and understanding of relevant business processes at various levels to ensure successful completion of projects, processes, etc. Measures and evaluates the effectiveness of protocols, programs, or deliverables; compares measurement results to standards and takes immediate action to close gaps identified. Evaluates alternative solutions/decisions in light of the potential impact. Qualifications: Bachelor Degree. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field. Experience with sourcing ideas and identifying/protecting intellectual property. Superior interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate effectively and interact with personnel at all levels of technical ability and expertise. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Excellent skills in MS Excel, MS Access highly preferred. Experience managing MRP systems preferred. APICS or ISM Certification desired.
