We are looking for a proactive and positive HR Coordinator to support managers and employees at our Mt Holly Springs, PA and Bethune, SC plants (total around 170 FTEs) with all day-to-day HR activities and people matters during the employee life cycle.
Primary Responsibilities: Provides HR Generalist expertise and supports managers and employees with daily inquiries related to people and employment matters, HR policies, processes, procedures, and systems administration.Ensures compliance (including laws and regulations), group culture, targets and policies, collaboration and implementation, HSE as top priority.Support local management in implementing business strategy and achieving business and performance targets.Supports line managers through recruitment and selection processes.Conducts new employee onboarding, post-offer screening including background and reference checks.Delivers high quality and efficient HR services, practices and administration at the site, ensuring compliance with current legislation, regulations, policies, standards, and labor agreements.Provides Payroll with all needed info and material timely and accurately for processing and payment.Compiles and maintains employee records, and HRIS (ADP and SAP/Success Factors) records to ensure high data accuracy; compiles reports from HRIS database as needed.Provides employee support for Company benefit plans and open enrollment.Together with HR Manager, serves as a point of contact for addressing employee concerns and conflicts, fostering a positive workplace culture.Together with HR Manager, handles labor relations at plant level.Partners with HR and Plant management to enhance employee engagement and satisfaction and increase productivity.Coordinates Service Award Program and employee recognition and recreation activities.Works closely with HR Manager to ensure effective internal communication at the site.Adheres to all safety policies, OSHA regulations, ISO14001, ISO 45001 and ISO9001 standards and policies.Collaborates with HR Team at BU, Division and Country level and, in case of need, provides HR support to other plants/locations in US.Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information and ensures data privacy.Performs other duties as required and assigned.To be successful in the role, you should have: Associates or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or relevant field.7+ years of experience in a similar role.Experience supporting a manufacturing environment preferred.Experience utilizing SuccessFactors and ADP preferred.MS Office experience required.Good understanding of the employee life cycle and related processes; positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills.Knowledge of employment law and union labor relations and ability to make decisions and maintain confidentiality.Availability to travel regularly, particularly within the US.We are looking for a HR Coordinator who has: Ability to handle various tasks and assignments in a dynamic environment.Ability to gain trust and build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels and from different backgrounds.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.Strong interest in how business operates.A people-first, inclusive, and continuous improvement mindset.Demonstrated integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive HR information and employee issues.Strong desire to learn, grow, and continuously improve.Good leadership skills and potential to grow.Ahlstrom is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
