The Carrier Manager for FBA is responsible for managing carrier relationships and transportation operations to support Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) program. This includes negotiating rates, optimizing shipping routes and modes, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries, and resolving any carrier-related issues. The Carrier Manager works closely with FBA sellers, Amazon warehouses, and carrier partners to provide efficient and cost-effective shipping solutions.Key job responsibilitiesManage relationships with FBA carrier partners, including negotiating contracts, rates, and service level agreementsAnalyze shipping data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvementsOptimize shipping routes, modes, and processes to enhance delivery speed and reliability for FBA sellersCoordinate with Amazon warehouses and FBA sellers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of inventoryTroubleshoot and resolve carrier-related issues, such as delayed or lost shipments, damages, and billing discrepanciesMonitor carrier performance and provide regular reports on key metrics, such as on-time delivery, damage rates, and cost per shipmentCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including FBA operations, inventory management, and seller support, to enhance the overall FBA experienceStay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to transportation and logisticsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 2+ years of program or project management experience- Bachelor's degree or equivalent- Speak, write, and read fluently in English- +2 years working with Carrier ManagersPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.G., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.- Experience negotiating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.- Understanding of transportation modes, routing, and pricing structures.- Experience using transportation management systems and data analysis tools.Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
