In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Casual Receptionist is Responsible for presenting a professional image for the company in all aspects of reception, administrative and clerical functions. This is an on-call casual position .
Duties and Responsibilities Maintain professionalism and act in a manner consistent with FPI mission and guiding principles Follow all Health & Safety programs; actively participate in Health & Safety training with the purpose of gaining knowledge and understanding Contribute to a positive work environment focusing on Lean and continuous improvement initiatives Answer and direct telephone calls from a busy multi-line switchboard Greet and make preparations for all incoming visitors Receive, sort, and distribute all incoming faxes Prepare all outgoing Canadian, US and International mail in a timely manner Ensure the timely processing of all incoming mail, including stamping, sorting and delivering to the appropriate departments Arrange for local, national and international couriers as required (includes packaging items and preparation of commercial invoices) Order and maintain courier, office and coffee supplies Maintain postage meters and postage supplies Assist various departments (HR & Marketing) with projects as needed Perform data entry, including mailed in warranty cards and act as the backup for warranty orders Other related duties as assigned Abilities/Skills/Knowledge Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) in English, with an emphasis on Professionalism & Customer Service Strong ability to build relationships (team player) Able to maintain adaptability, while working with structured business processes Strong working knowledge of a variety of programs, including Excel, Outlook, and Word Demonstrated attention to detail and problem solving skills Education/Training High School diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum 2 years related office experience required
