Has the primary responsibility to direct and execute the purchase of assigned categories of spend, evaluate market conditions and develop and execute sourcing strategies. Collaborates with business areas to identify sourcing needs and opportunities. Manages supplier relationships and agreements. Conducts continuous improvement initiatives with an emphasis on reducing total cost of ownership.Activities/responsibilities:Develop and execute the category strategy for non-dairy spend responsibility. Manage supplier relationships and performance by maintaining supplier scorecards, site visits, day-to-day interactions and regular review meetings. Develop and stay current on market intelligence for assigned commodities Accountable to meet Sourcing goals for assigned categories such as cost savings, quality, payment terms, compliance to requirements and risk plans Employ the appropriate use of risk management tools Together with the leader, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
