When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you'll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do every day.About the RoleThis position will be responsible for developing the strategy and execution plan of supply diversification efforts, pro-actively driving the implementation with cross-functional stakeholders, including multi-sourcing of components focusing on global platform parts and carryover parts.Escalation points for supplier shortage which impacting multiple plants and any major supply disruption, focusing on speaker components.What You Will Do- Develop global strategy and plan for supply diversification, including multi-sourcing initiatives, mainly focus on Car Audio platform components, e.G., Speaker metalware, magnets, speaker soft parts, Die casting, Stamping, Plastics etc.- Pro-actively drive the implementation of the supply diversification strategy with cross functional stakeholders, e.G., Engineering, CPM, CG, Plants, Quality.- Actively drive global supply base diversification through multi-sourcing activities, focus on car audio platform components.- Escalation points for supplier shortage when multiple plants being impacted and/or major supply disruption events. Work closely with suppliers on recovery strategy, as representative of Harman, together with key Harman functions, e.G., SIOP, Plants, SQE, ENG, CPM etc.- Lead the supply risk management to ensure supply continuity and security to Harman global production plants.- Close alignment with category team to create and lead supply risk mitigation action- Establish strong vendor relationships including senior level, influence and coach supplier to build up the supply risk mitigation mindset- Establish goals, improvement plans, business reviews and monthly reporting related to areas of responsibility.What You Need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or engineering discipline- At least 5 years of experience in Procurement in automotive industry including strategic sourcing, new project procurement, strategy development, supply chain risk management.- Strong people and interpersonal skill.- Strong communication and presentation skill.- Experience with multi culture and global companies.- Strategic thinking and self-driven attitude- Fluent EnglishWhat Makes You Eligible- Willingness to travel (30%+)- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employmentHARMAN is an Equal Opportunity /Affirmative Action employer.
