May ensure all engineering, customer, security and EHS requirements are met.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned commodities.
May provide hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback to direct reports.Executes sourcing vision and strategy for assigned commodities, including BVC objectives and developing team synergy.
Collaborates with other internal functions to ensure that we meet customer requirements.
Monitors supplier relationships to ensure strategic alignment and sustainability.
Ensures standardized processes are followed as required.Responsible for driving material cost downs, supplier terms improvement, Best Value Country (BVC) sourcing, commodity strategies and annual operations planning for a select group of commodities.
Manages global supplier relationships, including castings and machined parts, to ensure that products and services are delivered to the quality, cost and delivery performance levels required.Reviews RFQ packages and spreadsheet analysis to make recommendations for improvement.
Identifies potential suppliers and makes recommendations on supplier selections based on total cost analysis and quality compliance.
Performs supplier negotiations and determines most competitive total cost solutions using creativity and latitude.Defines, drives and implements continuous improvement projects to ensure objectives are met.
Leads simplification in the overall Supply Chain process.

5+ years.Master's Degree a distinct positive (plus).Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years.APICS certification (plus).Proven Negotiation skills.Proven track record obtaining Material Cost Out (MCO) savings.Background and track record of successful Best Value Country (BVC) sourcing.Ability to build relationships, both externally and internally, to deliver successful team objectives
