.**Job Description Summary**: The Category Manager is responsible to develop and implement the sourcing strategy for the Plastics Category in North America, with a focus on negotiating with dedicated suppliers according to specific policies. Achieve the best contractual conditions, optimizing cost, quality, delivery, and overall performance to ensure internal customer satisfaction. The scope of the role is managing ~$40M spend with suppliers in MX & USA, actively supporting all the different Business Units across GE Healthcare worldwide.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Category driven activities, including contracts, negotiations, and cross modality strategy for Plastics category.- Lead price negotiations with assigned suppliers to achieve the best TCO (Total Cost of Ownership)- Improve payment terms with suppliers in scope.- Manage the lifecycle of contracts/supply agreements with the suppliers in their scope- Coordination with all GE Healthcare SBU's (Strategic Business Units) to identify gaps in their supply chain according to their priorities and implement strategies to close those gaps.- Building a strong customer/supplier relationship through the execution of periodic Strategy & 360 business reviews to position GEHC as a customer of choice.- Team up with Supplier Development Process experts to identify, evaluate, develop, and introduce new suppliers in the region.- Support all GEHC SBU's on delivery, quality, and risk escalations.- Support SBUs with the early engagement of suppliers to optimize supply chain.**Required Qualifications**- Degree in Administration, or related. Industrial Engineering- Strong Sourcing background (5+ years or equivalent combination of education/experience)- Strong negotiation skills and problem-solving mindset.- English speaking proficiency, must be able to hold high level business discussions.- Global mindset, experience working with cross-functional/geographically dispersed teams.- Excellent business/financial acumen.- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of time- Proficient in Microsoft Excel (spreadsheets development, macros, analysis, etc)- Knowledgeable of legal terms and capable to hold formal negotiations.
